The Absolutely True Story Of A Part Time Indian
Book Report
This book is about a young Native American boy that lives on a small indian reservation. Born with many mental issues he tends to have alot of seizures. Everyone calls him Junior, but his real name is Arniold Spirit. Everyone bullies Arnold exept for his best friend Rowdy. One day he gets into trouble and he realizes that he needs to leave the reservation. When he leaves the reservation everyone he knows hates him.

The book overall was very good I enjoyed it a lot and I highly encourage anyone to read it. Arnold is very intelligent, and likes to draw. He often describes things with cartoons instead of words, because he finds it easier to use pictures instead of writing.  The begining of the book was just a little back story of his life and how he had issues with too much fluid in his brain, and him having seizures. He explains how people on the reservation  are very poor, and how most of the people are alcoholics, and many of them have died because of that. After one day when he threw a book at his teacher and got suspended, he realized that he needed to leave the reservation. He decided to go to Reardan, a small all white school. He tells his dad and mom and they agree with it. Once he goes to tell rowdy, things don't go so well. Rowdy gets angry, so he punches Arnold in the face and runs away. When Arnold arrives at Reardan he seems to be early so he waits until the kids start to arrive and enter the school.  He gets many mixed looks as he walks through the halls to his classrooms. Eventually he meets this kid named Gordy. Gordy doesn't like Arnold at first but then they begin to be friends. Then he meets Penelope, who he thinks is very pretty. He gets together with Penelope and seems to be getting a lot more attention. Then he meets a boy named Roger and he is giant, and captain of the basketball team. Arnold always liked basketball, and he thought he was pretty good at it too. So he decided that he would try out for basketball. He makes the basketball team and is very good at shooting. When they start to play games, they play Arnolds old school. His old school wins and he was sad. The team kept on practicing and they kept on getting better and better. They were so good that they only lost that one game at the begining of the season. Arnold is happy at school but not at home. Later in the year his grandma dies and he is very depressed. Then only a while later his sister dies. At the funeral, Arnold is very sad and he runs into the woods. In the woods he runs into Rowdy and they talk.
I enjoyed this book and I would consider it one of my favorites and highly reccomend this book to anyone. A mixture of sad, happy, funny, and hopeful story about a young Native American kid who lives on an indian reservation.

Level up! Book report

Level Up Book Report

I read the book Level Up and I thought that it was a very good book. It is about this boy named Dennis Ouyang, and his love for video games. But also wanting to fulfill his dads wish of him becoming a Doctor.  He eventually gets excepted into college and soon after his dad dies. Then he gets kicked out of college and thats when things start to get weird. These Four little angles appear and start to help Dennis out and get him back into college.  From then on the angles continue to help him and eventually Dennis starts to find out why they are there.

I really enjoyed this Graphic novel, and I highly recommend it to anyone who likes Graphic novels and or good books. I liked the Art and the story. Even though that there were some gross parts, I think this is a really good book. Not a very long book but a pretty good book.

If anyone wants to read this book I think that that is a great decision. My favorite character was probably Dennis. I like that he likes to do what he wants to do, but also what his parents want him to do also. I would rate this book a 9/10 because i enjoyed it and thought it was very good.

The Maze Runner Book Report

The Maze Runner is a book about a boy named Thomas who is sent to a place called the Glade. Not remembering anything from his past, except that his name is Thomas. There are about 30 people in the Glade. Every 30 days they get a new person. Thomas meets this kid named Chuck and they end up being good friends. After 30 days they get a new person, but this one is a girl the very first girl  in the glade.her name is Teresa.Thomas recognizes her from somewhere and  it ends up having to do something with the maze. I won't talk too much more about the ending because I don't want to spoil it.

I really enjoyed The Maze Runner. I believe it is one of my favorite books so far. I really enjoyed how James Dashner wrote it. Keeping suspense throughout the book and the twisted ending. My favorite part was most likely when Thomas and 2 other boys had to survive throughout the night with the Grievers. Although it has a long intro to the book in my opinion. I highly suggest to read this suspense full, greatly written book.

My favorite character of the story was Thomas. I really enjoyed how he acts, and how he recognizes Teresa from somewhere else, which links into the ending of the story. He is very calm but will freak out easily. I thought it was very brave of him to allow himself it gets stung by the Grievers. !!CAUTION SPOILERS UP AHEAD!!!
I really felt bad for Thomas when his best friend chuck dies at the end. I also really liked chuck and thought he was funny. But chuck spared his life to save Thomas's.

I highly recommend this book to anyone willing to read it. It was very good and thrilling to read. I would rate it 8.5/10.
